Who we are

Demo sites

The websites shown on our Demo Sites page are examples built to demonstrate our design and build style. They are classified as demo sites: the businesses shown are fictional or illustrative, and the demos are not live businesses. Nothing on a demo site is an offer we can be held to.

Getting a quote

To get a quote you create a free Webify account and complete the Webify Website Brief form. Your quote is calculated as a R2,000 base fee plus R2.50 per word in your completed brief. The quote shown to you in your Webify account is the price of the website build — it does not include hosting, a domain name, or third-party subscription costs, which you arrange and pay for yourself as set out under "Ownership and handover" below.

A quote is valid for 30 days from the date it appears in your account. Starting the project confirms that you accept these terms and the quoted price.

Payments

Payments happen in three steps across the project:

• A R200 initiation payment when you approve the project, which is deducted from the total cost.
• 50% of the project cost once you approve the first draft.
• The remaining 50% of the project cost before handover and transfer.

For clarity: project cost = website price (your quote) minus the R200 initiation payment. We start building once the initiation payment reflects, and we hand over once the final payment reflects.

Ownership and handover

Once you have paid in full, the completed website code is transferred to you through GitHub and you have full ownership of it. Handover works like this:

• You create a GitHub account (free).
• We transfer the project repository to your account.
• You connect your GitHub account to a hosting platform.
• You arrange hosting and attach a domain name you have bought.
• We do final checks, and handover is complete.

Hosting, domain registration and any third-platform fees are between you and those providers, under their terms. Webify does not host your production website and is not a party to those agreements.

What we need from you

We build from your brief. If we are waiting on information, images, text or approvals from you, the project timeline pauses until you send them. Please make sure you have the right to use anything you give us, including text, logos and photos.

Changes and cancellations

The quote covers the website described in your brief. Big changes to that description may change the price, and we will always agree the new price with you in writing before continuing.

You may cancel at any time. If you cancel, you pay for work already done up to that point and we refund any amount you paid above that, unless the CPA's section 44 cooling-off rights apply to your purchase, in which case we follow them.

Intellectual property

After full payment, the website code we built for you belongs to you. We keep the right to reuse our own general techniques, tools and know-how, and — with your permission — to show your finished site as an example of our work. You keep ownership of everything you gave us, including your logo, text and images.

Accounts and acceptable use

You are responsible for keeping your Webify account credentials safe. Please use our website lawfully and do not try to break it, access other clients' information, or use it to send unsolicited messages. We may suspend an account that does.

Electronic communications

In line with ECTA, you agree that we may communicate with you electronically, including by email and WhatsApp, and that agreements reached this way have the same force as paper ones.

Limitation of liability

We build websites carefully, but we cannot promise that any website will make your business money, rank in search results, or be free of every bug. To the extent the law allows, Webify is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the CPA that cannot be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of South Africa. If there is a dispute, we will first try to resolve it with you directly before either of us takes formal steps.
